Story Writing

Last spring my daughter really took interest in writing books after seeing me make some short stories for my classroom. Since then she has written a variety of books on different topics. One of my favourite books of hers is "A... goes to the Kabah". For this story she drew all the pictures and I wrote the words she narrated. 

Lately I've wanted to encourage more writing from her, so I gave her a journal to write short stories in a couple of times a week. Many of the smaller words she can spell independently, and we work together sounding out the longer ones.

She is also still learning how to keep her letters properly placed in the lines so I encourage her to look at her writing board for reference.
